Scott Townsend grew up poor, feminine-looking, and gay in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As an adult, he embarked on a singing career as Thirsty Burlington, drag queen and Cher impersonator. Throughout his life, Scott's had a complicated relationship with gender. This post-queer musical biopic explores gender identity, using Scott's life as a starting point.
