剧情
在哥斯达黎加的热带雨林中的一个关于勇气、救赎和爱的故事。本片根据真实事件改编，一个10几岁的小男孩从小梦想寻找地球上传说中的最美丽的蝴蝶：一种虚幻般的大翅蓝色蝴蝶。他的母亲说服了一位著名的昆虫学家(威廉赫特)，与小男孩一同踏上寻蝶之旅，二人的生活从此发生了巨大的变化……
