Acting Out centres on the experiences of a young woman dealing with issues of intimacy and a fear of relationships as a result of family problems that led to the separation of her parents. These issues drive her to 'act out', as she craves attention from her self-absorbed mother and those around her while placing a wall between herself and the outside world.
