Eckart takes up his new job in community service: a workshop for the disabled. Ulrike works there; she's about as old as he is, pretty, mentally disabled, a vibrantly strong personality. She is in love with Mr. Porzig, a macho of about 45, head of the workshop's metal department. In order to keep her from incessantly running to Porzig, her foot is tied to her chair with a scarf and the chair to the table. Eckart's first step of action: he unties Ulrike; the liberation. A love story unfolds, from the turbulent, even explosive advances over the finally reached, comforting intimacy to the catastrophic turn. In summary, a totally normal love story. Normal!? There is no "normal". edc Written by Jehle, Volker (translated by Baggarley, Angela G.)
