Charles Dance (White Mischief, Last Action Hero, Gosford Park.) stars as Charles Lushington, an English professor of Middle-Eastern affairs who visits Beiruit and becomes involved with Leila, a young Lebanese woman - played by Nabila Khashoggi (Young Toscanini, Eye of the Widow).
