This documentary feature describes and analyzes the events which lead to Mogens Lykketoft becoming chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Denmark. Focusing especially on the events of December 2002, when he was elected by the congress, the film also draws lines back to the election of 2001 and beyond and makes an attempt at approaching the nature of Lykketoft as a politician and as an individual.
