Two friends resolve to see the Grateful Dead in concert before graduating from college. Graduation is in 6 days and the concert venue is a 3 day drive...they run the risk of missing graduation. All the same, they take to the highway. The truth is that their friendship has been eroding for years, and the two young men confront unpleasant realities about their lives while on the road. By the time they return from their road trip, they reluctantly acknowledge that they've grown apart...and that moving on to the next stage in life sometimes means letting go of things from the past. They set out on a three day road trip to get to the show and hope to get back in time for their graduation.
