Paul Newman Meets Doctor Comfort is a slow-burn mystery set in rural Texas revolving around Paul Newman, a famously named obituary writer of some local celebrity, who in order to redeem his tarnished reputation must delve deep into a dead man's past. During the course of his investigation, Paul encounters Doctor Comfort, a small-town coroner who serves as a tour guide of sorts, exposing Paul to a world he never knew existed, while at the same time awakening him to truths about himself.
