Brazilian version of Spain's TV reality show "Operación Triunfo", produced by Rede Globo de Televisão, Brazil's most important network. 12 singing contenders are selected to enter an Academy of Music where they take lessons on singing, speaking, dancing, musical theory, music history, body fitness, etc. The series was aired daily with an average audience of 30 million viewers and lasted about 150 shows. 20 year-old Vanessa Jackson was chosen bu the audience as the winner.
