Firefighter Frank is a hand-drawn animated cartoon told in a storybook format. The star of the cartoon is Andy, an eight-year old little boy with a vivid imagination. Andy's teacher gives the class a very important assignment, to look for fire violations at home. Andy doesn't waste any time and before you know it, everyone in the neighborhood has received a fire citation. Andy looks for help with his fire safety project and spends a magical afternoon at the fire station with his uncle, Firefighter Frank. There he meets a colorful cast of characters: Hose' - a Hispanic fire hose, Stubbs - a cranky New York fire hydrant, Stretch - the sturdy little ladder with funny antics, and Spot - the dalmatian who keeps things moving around fire station number seventy-six.
