A travelling circus in 19th century France adopts and showcases a feral "wolf boy", who grows into adulthood only to kill the one-man band. Here he gets a job in a rundown zoo and falls for a girl who works in the local brothel. He resents her clients and whenever the moon is full gets extremely unpleasant about it.
