The 2005 edition of the annual Bodil Awards awarded top honours for best Danish picture to Kongekabale (2004), while the four acting awards went one each to Kongekabale, Forbrydelser (2004), Brødre (2004) and Pusher II (2004) and Tintin et moi (2003) was named best documentary. Hosted by Michael Carøe, the show also saw the international awards go to Comme une image (2004) and Lost in Translation (2003) while Morten Søborg won a diploma for cinematography and Janus Billeskov Jansen received the honorary Bodil.
