Documentary about the musical and social phenomenon of Brazilian funk, a style having nothing to do with traditional funk music. Musically primitive and with lyrics full of sexual and violent overtones, almost spoken instead of sung, this style is promoted by poor people living in slums in Rio de Janeiro, but is gradually being accepted by higher social structures.
