(2008)
The film follows the sanitized movie industry from inception to collapse. Starting with Kate Winslet's bare breasts in Titanic and the Mormon cultural that didn't want to see them, the film then continues through the numerous legal and theoretical debates that led to a DGA lawsuit spearheaded by industry titans Martin Scorsese, Steven Soderbergh, Steven Spielberg, and Robert Redford. But that's only the beginning. The film then tracks the dozen or so stores still in operation to an unforeseeable conclusion. This documentary succeeds in doing what no other news coverage of this issue has thus far been able to accomplish by humanizing both the Clean Flicks store owners and the Hollywood directors while examining the gray areas of this debate--not just the polar opposites.
