(2002)
A young woman returns to her New York City apartment to find a piano unattended on the sidewalk before her ground floor window. Despite her best efforts to concentrate on the work she has brought home, she cannot ignore the piano, and becomes enchanted with watching the passersby who are drawn to it. In the wee hours of the morning, a homeless man respectfully approaches the piano and plays with deep feeling. Awakened by his playing, the young woman is drawn to the window and shares in what would be a private metamorphosis; the man, briefly transformed, into the man he was. Written by Christine Faucher
