The story follows professional runner Lisa. On a training run in the forest she comes across The Dark Prince fighting with Archangel Gabriel. Just before he dies Gabriel gives The Word to Lisa. This is the secret key that will lock the gates to hell. With the help of half-angel Arkel and her ex-boyfriend Thomas, she must travel to the gates of Hell to lock them forever. Meanwhile the Dark Prince is hot on her trail and will stop at nothing to prevent this. Arkel (Heinrich Christensen) is on his way to becoming an angel, however, he needs to perform one final, unselfish deed to help mankind. They meet when Lisa is out jogging and incidentally watches the good angel, Gabriel (Kasper Gaardsøe) being killed by the Prince of Darkness (Søren Rossen). Before Gabriel breathes his last breath he manages to pass on the secret words to Lisa ^Ö the words that forevermore will seal the gates of hell. The Prince of Darkness initiates a hunt for Lisa who has told the police about the murder. At the police station she runs into a former lover, Thomas (Janus Nabil Bakrawi), and together with his partner, Erik (Hans Henrik Voetmann) he realizes that Lisa is telling the truth. Lisa on the other hand must realize that she has to co-operate with Arkel in order to overcome evil.
