Down-on-his-luck Jake Tarlow has to get reclusive writer Hunter Burnell to an important meeting. Jake takes his friend Eddie (a book collector obsessed with the Black Dahlia) along for the ride as the two men inadvertently treat Hunter to what will probably be the last great time of his life.
