Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, 1984: When Jesse Was Born is the story of a blue-collar family as they welcome their third son into their chaotic world. Stuggling through life, Harold Ferrell (Ryan Robbins) engages in criminal activity to provide for his family, while fourteen year old Danny (Calum Worthy), a gentle boy in love for the first time, tentatively negotiates his conflicting needs to please his father and to challenge his destructive patterns.
