(2005)
Struggling with the loss of her husband, an immigrant Chinese mother must somehow support and raise her two sons as a single parent. Unable to speak English, she earns a meager income by working long hours at a sweatshop, leaving her eldest son Cherng to take care of his little brother. Cherng must learn at a young age that through the thick atmosphere of responsibilities, anger and frustration, there is a strong presence of seldom spoken love that keeps the family together.
