Up until this point in his life, ambitious but talentless Bert leads an 'average' life as a grade school teacher. His whole life he has had the feeling he is special but wasn't yet able to realize his dreams. Now, four months after his girlfriend Connie left him, he decides to make a final desperate effort to realize his dream of being a highly acclaimed artist.
