(2008)
THE DOT MAN, a political thriller, is the story of one man's battle to survive under the prevailing atmosphere of failed government policy, multinational intrigue, and unforeseen passion, set against the backdrop of Iraq, Abu Ghraib, and Guantanamo Bay. Major Robert Atwood, a brilliant and dedicated US military intelligence officer, has just connected all the dots, providing key information leading to the dismantling of a terrorist cell in Turkey. Because of the torture of one of Atwood's key contacts, an independent military contractor becomes convinced Atwood is, in fact, a mole working for the terrorists. The Administration's policy of "shoot first and ask questions later" leads the contractor to spread false and misleading information about Atwood, forcing the intelligence community to act against him. As the atmosphere of paranoia fuels the fire of Atwood's supposed guilt, Atwood realizes he cannot build a case to prove his innocence so he, with his lover, Mika, attempts to vanish into the Romanian populace.
