Outside of Winters Bend is the story of Derek Winters, a young man who suffers a disfiguring accident, and of his girlfriend, Jamie Day, whose love remains faithful despite the advances from Derek's supposed best friend Lee. Unable to accept his hideous disfigurement, Derek secludes himself from family and friends. Faced with yet another harsh reality, Derek is swept away from his self absorbed world to find that Lee has become dangerously psychotic.
