剧情：    经纪人乔治送作曲家史蒂夫去加州，为他筹办的“水上大盛展”写曲。在加州，史蒂夫遇见了美丽多情的教练罗琳，两人一见钟情，决定结婚。乔治闻讯后决定阴止他的婚事，便雇用妇女演员玛丽娅，假冒史蒂夫的妻子，带着三个假冒的孩子来到婚礼上大闹，臻使卡罗琳一气之下出走了。史蒂夫得知卡罗琳任教的学院虽是女子学院，但章程规定也招男生，于是报名入学了。按章程规定，新生在入学两个月内若记一百次过失便要除名，上门     罗琳与院长齐心协力，千方百计的给史蒂夫记过。在期满的前一天，史蒂夫还差一次过失就要被开除院长建议卡罗琳晚上约史蒂夫出去设法超过返校时间，这样就够一百次了。晚上，史蒂夫向卡罗琳再次倾吐心怀并要求卡罗琳同他离开学院。卡罗琳不知不觉再交坠落情网，史蒂夫回到寝室，正遇玛丽娅前来赔礼道歉，这地卡罗琳过来敲门，史蒂夫手忙脚知己卡罗琳盛怒之下夺门而出。史蒂夫万分懊悔，只好答应乔治按时写完“水上大盛展”，并要乔治找卡罗琳来主演。在盛展即将开幕之前，玛丽娅找到了卡罗琳解释了一切，于是两人消除误会，重归于好。

剧情： The storyline of the film follows several women who volunteer for the Canteen and who must adhere to strict rules of conduct, the most important of which is that while their job is to provide friendly companionship to and be dance partners for the (often nervous) men who are soon to be sent into combat, no romantic fraternization is allowed. One volunteer who confesses to only becoming involved in the Canteen in order to be discovered by one of the Hollywood stars in attendance, ultimately finds herself falling in love with one of the soldiers. 　　 Star appearances range from momentary cameos, such as Johnny Weissmuller, seen working in the canteen's kitchen, to more substantial roles such as Katharine Hepburn, who helps advance the plot. 　　 Most of the cameos were filmed at the studio, but a number of spots -- Benny Goodman's, for example -- were filmed in New York City.
