剧情： 故事从一个名叫Ryan的青年开始。Ryan是一个居住的bankstreet的青年，父母离异；哥哥总是在街上混。一日，哥哥教他偷车的时候，被警察抓住。Ryan在监狱遇见了了他的public defender, Sandy Cohen. Sandy是一个家住oc的律师，他对于改正问题少年已经疲倦了。后来，为了这个案子，Sandy留给了Ryan名片。 　　 Ryan还是被他妈妈接出了监狱。但是Ryan母亲整日酗酒、和她的boyfriend鬼混，对Ryan大吼大叫。Ryan终于离开家，但是他孤独无助，只能向律师Sandy打电话。Sandy做出决定，要把Ryan接到他们家。但是这却得到了Sandy的妻子Kirsten的反对。出于无奈，妻子只好把游泳之旁边的客房为ryan准备。 　　 就这样，Ryan从一个贫穷的家庭来到了一个美国白人上层居住区。故事就是这样开始了。
