剧情：莉乐失去了对儿子卢卡的监护权，法院把卢卡判给卢卡的奶奶尼娜抚养。时间飞逝，莉乐听说儿子卢卡在格鲁吉亚-阿布哈兹冲突中不幸身亡。当时正值1993年，战争即将结束。莉乐重返乡间，那里是卢卡长大的地方，她想找到儿子的遗体并带回到自己生活的地方安葬。到达村子后，她发现，由于持续不断的战争，卢卡的遗体并未抵达村子。此外，卢卡的奶奶强烈反对莉乐带走卢卡的遗体，她想把卢卡的遗体埋在这个年轻人生活了多年的家中的花园里。她的这个决定使得两个人的矛盾加剧。与此同时，苏呼米沦陷，村民们四处逃命，莉乐和尼娜却决定留在这个被废弃的村子，两个人对彼此的敌意与日俱增，她们就这样一天天等待着年轻人的遗体的到来。

剧情：Synopsis：A forty-year old who lived a comfortable life in the Soviet Union, ends up in Georgia in the difficult condition of having to adapt to change. She is granted a loan at a high interest rate and little by little becomes drowned in debt, trapped in a vicious circle that she can’t get out of. 　　Director’s Statement：My intention was to show the atmosphere in today’s Tbilisi, the post-Soviet city, which seems to be left at the mercy of loan sharks, high-interest bank mortgage loans, pawn shops and currency exchange points. Laden with everyday problems of material nature, people lose the ability to look at their own lives from a distance. They just follow the current and, despite themselves, discover they are pulled down into the whirlpool that, far from sparing their emotions, drags everything deeper, devouring all that is characteristic to a human nature.
