Manou, not much out of girlhood, must grow up quickly when her ailing mother dies, she discovers she's pregnant, and she learns that her older sister is actually her biological mother. Armed with a cell phone that she uses to make emotional calls to friends and to her sister, Manou sets off with her boyfriend Jim, heading east for Sable Island, off the coast of Nova Scotia, a place she's dreamed about. She and Jim argue from time to time, and the emotions of adolescence and of change threaten to overwhelm them. What awaits?
