One of his cases leads him into the investigation of a serial killer who killed his policewoman girlfriend. The police detective Kyle Robashaw (Bruce Boxleitner) finds a dead body without face, he starts to investigate on the presumed murder, Stim (Joseph D'Angerio). His boss doesn't agree with him and he gives another task to Kyle: to find Ellen Green (Elizabeth Kemp).
