- 剧情:Peter Jennings hosts this six part special that compares and contrasts some of the most important events of the 20th Century. Each episode is divided into two parts that interconnect in one way or another. Part 1 deals with exploration, Lindbergh and the moon landing. Part 2 deals with ultimate evil, Hitler then the atomic bomb. Part 3 deals with the two wars that America lost, World War I and Vietnam. Part 4 deals with two of America's most influential rebels, the early days of Elvis and the last days of Martin Luther King, Jr. Part 5 deals with two eras when the fabric of America was coming apart, The Great Depression and The McCarthy era.
