The film features NFL quarterback Drew Bledsoe who claims to have inherited his arm from his mother, Barbara, who could out-throw all the boys in her high school class; baseball star Kenny Lofton, who was raised by his grandmother, Rosie-Lou, a sharecopper; NBA star Shaquille O'Neal whose mother, Lucille Harrison, faxed over a contract requiring Shaquille to wear a helmet when he purchased his motorcycle last year; Erik Weihenmayer, the first blind climber to summit Mount Everest; as well as the stories of soccer star Mia Hamm (whose grandmother was a baseball player); race car driver Sarah Fisher; soccer player Brandi Chastain; Olympic gold medalist Rulon Gardner; hockey duo of Tony Granato (San Jose Sharks) and Cammie Granato (Olympic gold medalist), among others.
