They get together for their father's birthday celebration, and bind together to solve a crisis at his place of employment. Written by Phil Fernando This made for television movie reunites the Bradford family from the hit series. In the movie, the patriarch, Tom Bradford is turning 50 and his wife Abby is planning a major celebration. Which includes bringing all of the children together. But a few things might put a damper on the celebration, one of them is Tom's uneasy relationship with Tommy, and the fact that Tom wants to sell their house. It seems that a publishing company wants to buy the newspaper that Tom has worked faithfully for, for years. Now this company specializes in tabloid journalism and plans to lay most of the papers loyal and hardworking staff. So Tom decides to buy the paper, and he needs every cent he can get his hands on.
